Individual memento to members of the winning unit team in the Military District No 2 Signals competition.Context
Military District 2 covered Central Ontario. Units in the District competed annually in a variety of military skills including signalling. This covered flag semaphore, Morse code by telegraph key and flashing light and the use of field telephones. The winning team received a team trophy and smaller cups as individual mementos. 1938 was the third consecutive year that the Lorne Scots Signals Platoon won the District trophy. They also placed second in the Dominion Signalling Competition.
