The Battle Dress Blouse, often referred to as simply the Battledress, was the working and field uniform worn by Canadian, Commonwealth and Imperial forces from the late 1930s until the 1960s. Battledress was worn by officers and other ranks alike.

Context

Silver service chevrons indicated service after the Second World War and were authorized for wear until 1968. Each chevron indicated two years of service and a maximum of five bars could be worn. They were not authorized for the Regular Force, only the Militia.
