Taken at the Palmer family home in Brampton. RSM Palmer returned from England in September of 1944, having been overseas since January of 1940 as the RSM of N0 1 Infantry Base Depot and No 1 Non-Effective Transit Depot. He received a Member of the Order of the British Empire medal for his service.
