A portion of railway track covered in dirt and no longer connected to a line. While the paperwork to discontinue the rail line was filed in 1962, the tracks were not abandoned until January of 1964. The Los Altos train station can be seen beyond the tracks (now a restaurant), with a sign hanging from the station, "The Station House Charcoal Broiler" and a wooden picnic table near the sign. A sign for Los Altos Tire can be seen in the upper left side of the photograph behind the train station. There is a dumpster to the right of the station.Photograph Details
