Construction of Berger's Drug Store on Main Street. Also being constructed is the 5&10c store. November 1948.
On December 17, 1948, Berger's "Modern" drug store and fountain opened at 243 Main Street in downtown Los Altos. Free coffee and donuts were served in the morning, and free ice-cream for children under 12 in the afternoon.
