King attended Mountain View High School. He moved to Los Altos after his grandfather’s passing in 1950. King was a Boy Scout and a volunteer for the Fire Department.
Armond King has seen the growth of Los Altos, from rural farmland to a vibrant town. He spent his childhood summers working on farms in order to make extra money. He grew up in rural Los Altos, spending his time in the early developments of the area. Such places included Clint’s Ice Cream. Thanks to his many years in the town, King knows many details of Los Altos families.
