Belinda Chung has been a leader in the business community, a volunteer with the Los Altos History Museum and a friendly face for her loyal clientele.
Belinda immigrated from Hong Kong at 15 years old with her mother and siblings and aunts and cousins and settled in Menlo Park where her grandparents had a house. She attended Menlo Atherton High School and College of San Mateo, then San Jose State while helping her parents with their restaurant. When she married Kenneth Chung, she decided that opening a shop would allow her the flexibility to both run a business and raise a family. On the advice of her friend Ruth Chu, she and her husband moved to Los Altos.
During her forty-five years at BK Collections, Belinda raised three children, operated BK's successful business, and is a leader in the business community, active in the Los Altos Village Association. During COVID she personally helped stores and restaurants work together to help accommodate parklets while giving up parking spaces and bringing people together during those unsettled times. This has been her goal - to keep dialogue open and treat people with respect and they will reciprocate.Collection
