Scope and Content

Paul Nyberg attended Wheaton College in Illinois. His travels to California influenced his decision to move to Los Altos while working at the Town Crier. He met his current wife at a church event and they worked together in the community of Los Altos and were recognized for their contributions as Los Altans of the Year in 2017. The interview with Paul Nyberg begins with his early days as a child in Minnesota, his family life, and his school years, including his first experiences writing and publishing. He continues with his experiences as a young man serving in the military and pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees. During this time, he and a friend took a road trip to California, which factored into his later decision to move here. He created the magazine Letterman to meet a need that he saw for young athletes. He goes on to describe other publishing pursuits as well as a fire at his publishing facility that resulted in his decision to move to California.
