After working in a San Francisco pharmacy for a decade, Kahn and his wife Annette moved to Los Altos in 1939 in order to establish his own pharmacy. He was part of the Rotary Club of Los Altos.
Kahn moved from San Francisco to Los Altos with his wife and bought a pharmacy from Jack Shoup. After a decade of work there, he built his own pharmacy, located on Third and Main. Kahn’s Corner Pharmacy sold sandwiches, sodas, and prescriptions, with Kahn being the resident pharmacist. He and his wife Annette kept the pharmacy open for many years. The transition from the San Francisco pharmacy to the Los Altos pharmacy was a bit of an adjustment, as Kahn was a trained pharmacist. At the Los Altos pharmacy, he had to learn how to make sandwiches and serve sodas as well.Collection
