SHU190Description
Claire Blabon is pictured working at the Kyle Bakery at No. 5 North Santa Cruz Avenue in 1903. When she wasn't working at the bakery, she loved to take the train to Chinatown in San Francisco. Later she lived in San Francisco for many years. She walked across the Golden Gate Bridge on opening day, May 27, 1937. Notice the jars of candy lining the shelves. Loaves of bread and rolls, along with tarts and freshly baked pies reside in the display cases. SHU190Collection
