Description

Dr. Harry L. Tevis bought this property from the Flood estate (James Clair Flood, son of the "Bonanza King" of Comstock Lode fame) in 1906. "In July of 1894 Mr. Flood, to gratify his wife, bought Alma Dale, a pretty place of 50 acres." He bought the property from S. H. Knowles. The Dale included the area along the South Pacific Coast Railway, north from Alma station. James Flood expanded the estate to more than 800 acres. NVC009
