In 1891 the Bank of Los Gatos, incorporated in 1883, moved to the Theresa Lyndon Building on the corner of West Main Street and Santa Cruz Avenue. The locally owned bank continued until 1926. W. C. Purviance, owner of this account book, is listed as an orchardist in the 1895-96 Santa Clara County City Directory. His residence is given as " Santa Cruz Avenue near Farley Road." BER098
