The flag raising ceremony in front of the Hotel Lyndon was performed by members of the Grand Army of the Republic and Woman's Relief Corps. Shown in the photograph are members of E.O.C. Ord Post No. 82. According to the Los Gatos Mail, "the May day crowd has been estimated by good judges of crowds at figures all the way from 15,000 to 30,000." HC039
