The San Jose-Los Gatos Interurban Railway was incorporated in 1903, and the first gala trip over the San Jose-Los Gatos line took place on March 19, 1904, ending with a festive banquet at the Lyndon Hall. The Peninsular Railway, as it was called after 1909, linked Los Gatos to nearby towns and all the way to Palo Alto and Alum Rock Park. HC085
