Lucy Balch in one of the elaborate costumes of the 1921 pageant. The story was adapted from a classic Chinese tale by Los Gatos playwright Wilbur Hall, and presented on June 24-25 that summer. Henry Crall played the role of Keang Foo, the prince who saves his country from ruin. The town held an election to pick the Los Gatos High School girl who would play Princess Moy Po, and Miss Frances Yount won, gathering over a thousand votes. PAG025
