Sculpted in 1922 by Robert Treat Paine. Colonel Charles Erskine Scott Wood lived at the estate from its completion in 1925 until his death in 1944. Wood and poet Sara Bard Field were married in 1938. In 1955, Sara sold the estate and moved to Berkeley, where she died in 1974. CTS011
