The program, August 16, 1940 was the first part of a celebration that included Trail Days, August 23 and 24, to commemorate the completion of the Los Gatos - Santa Cruz highway into town. Some of the dirt excavated in the construction of the new road was used to renovate the Pageant Bowl. PAG079Collection
