ROLAND M. PERRY 1969 -1970 Roland M. Perry was born in Beacon, New York on December 1,1925. He is a graduate of Penn State University in electrical engineering. He arrived in Los Gatos in 1957 with his wife, Dorothy. They have seven daughters -- Ann, Jean, Linda, Laura, Susan, Khrys, and Janette. Perry is manager of the engineering facilities for the IBM Corporation. He is one of the founders of the Los Gatos Museum, served on the Park Commission in 1966, the Los Gatos Town Council from 1966 to 1970, and the Town Planning Commission from 1970 to 1973. Serving as mayor from 1969 to 1970, he took an active role in the revision of the General Plan to achieve balance in zoning in the community, and facilitated the joining of the Los Gatos Fire Department with the County so to provide better opportunities for the firemen and a better economy.
