This group was photographed at Congress Springs in 1906. Eva Belle Taggert is looking out the third window from the left. Congress Springs was a resort famous for its waters, located in the mountains above Saratoga. It was accessible by the San Jose - Los Gatos Interurban Railway. Water was being bottled at Congress Springs as early as 1880. The spa's hotel burned in 1903 and in later years the area served as a picnic grounds. BA012Collection
