BER086Description
Young Chuck Bergtold sits at the head of the table for his birthday celebration, and takes aim at the camera. His grandfather, Charles H. Bergtold (1870 - 1926), and grandmother Louise Corkill Bergtold (1884 - 1967), had settled an idyllic acreage they named "Placer Oaks Ranch" in about 1922. They had a dairy on their land, which overlooked Los Gatos Creek, and a prune orchard. An original mill stone from Forbes Mill was found on the Bergtold Ranch and donated by Chuck and Phillip Bergtold to the Museums of Los Gatos in 2005. BER086Collection
