This view of the old wooden bridge is looking in a southeasterly direction, and shows the buildings on East Main Street circa 1890. College Avenue, winding up to the Novitiate, can be seen at left. The Jesuit Order purchased the Harvey Wilcox ranch in 1886, and the Novitiate's main building opened July 25, 1888. BRG015
