Scope and Content

Mrs. Albert J. Raisch hosted a luncheon meeting for members of a number of local D.A.R. chapters at her home, the Simond Adobe, the third house on Rancho Rinconada de los Gatos. The program included a story about the flag and the correct way to honor it, and a musical reading about the Vallejo family, composed by Celeste Murphy of Sonoma and sung by Luisa Vallejo Emparan, the last of that family. There was also a viewing of a miniature bust of General Vallejo that will be erected in the Sonoma plaza in 1935. An extensive list of the guests is included. There is a short article about a Daughter whose father had fought at Bunker Hill. DAR008
