First National Bank, the third bank in Los Gatos, was organized in 1911. This Renaissance Revival building at 160 West Main Street was built in 1920 and served as a bank until 1955. In 1927, Clarence Hamsher was elected president of the bank. At the far left, the Southern Pacific right-of-way occupies land now dedicated to parking. Since the closure of the bank, the building has housed a number of restaurants. BDG013Collection
