Description

Therese and Jacques Libante busily ironing shirts at their French Laundry at 11 University Ave. All work was done by hand. Jacques' fingernails were worn down as he would use them for creasing collars and french cuffs on men's shirts. Other special tools were used for attention to lace, puffed sleeves, etc. All garment repair was done as part of the service and all laundered goods were folded and wrapped in blue paper and tied with string or hung on hangers.
