Ann Jane Lipsett, born in 1847, married John Cilker in 1867. The couple planted orchards on their 174 acres of Los Gatos land located in the present Blossom Hill Road, Los Gatos - Almaden area. Their children, born between 1869 and 1886, were Martha, Jennie, Ada, Archie, John, Robert, William, Frank and Florence. The Cilkers lost two baby boys: George at seven months in 1875 and Montgomery at one year in 1877. Ann Cilker is pictured here in the 1890s. CLK001Collection
