Memorial Day observance in the early 1920s. Paul Curtis and his future wife, Blanche Arnold Lidley, dressed in appropriate manner for a parade and ceremony at Los Gatos cemetary in honor of all who died in the Civil War, the Spanish American War, and World War I. Although Blanche was never a nurse, and appears here in costume, she is especially remembered for her contributions to many of the Los Gatos Pageants, beginning with the first production in 1919, the "Pageant of Fulfillment," where she played the "Spirit of Water."
