Novices working on the baseball fieldEntry/Object ID
NVC026Description
In November 1892, soon after the Novitiate lands were expanded to include the hill in back of the Novitiate, the Novices began working on a baseball field. The cart was man-powered, while the sled was horse-powered. Dress code was enforced: neckware was a bandana, the long coats were called "Kyrie Eleison Coats." The name for the broad-brimmed hats is now lost. NVC026Collection
