Civic leader Lyndon Farwell died at the age of 52 years in 1959. He was president of Western California Telephone Company and a Los Gatos Planning Commissioner. He was active in many local organizations, including the Boy Scouts, the Los Gatos Community Chest, and the Los Gatos Chapter of Red Cross. He was an engineer, a Stanford graduate, and a grandson of pioneer John W. Lyndon. He and his wife Louise lived at 55 Broadway. They had two sons, James D. Farwell and Lyndon J. Farwell, S.J.
