FAR003Description
The 680-acre Glen Una Orchard had 350 acres planted in prunes. Three smaller tracts of land between Los Gatos and Saratoga had been combined by George W. Hume to create the orchard. These included 450 acres formerly owned by Dr. George Warren Handy, father of Una (born in 1872), for whom the orchard was named. J.D. Farwell (1872-1943) was manager of the Hume Ranch for 25 years.
