This is a view upstream toward the west and south, with Mt El Sereno in the background. The photograph was taken shortly before the fire of 1901 which destroyed the buildings on West Main Street. Timber in the area had been logged off and construction of houses had not begun at the time this picture was taken. HC015Collection
