This is an early view of "The Elbow," the intersection of Santa Cruz Avenue and West Main Street. To the left is the La Canada building (originally the Hofstra Block). At right is the Theresa Block, built in 1890 by John Lyndon and named after his first wife, who died in 1889. For many years the Theresa Block housed the Bank of Los Gatos. HC092Collection
