The Christian Church (left) was built in 1884 on the north side of West Main Street (then Hotel Street) just off Santa Cruz Avenue, and in 1930 was moved a block west to a site at the northwest corner of West Main Street and Lyndon Avenue, until it was torn down in 1958. The Ancient Order of United Workmen building (right) was erected in 1881 close to the northwest corner of West Main and Santa Cruz Avenue and moved to this site in January, 1894. Prior to being torn down in 1930 it was used as a Boy Scout hall. HC033Collection
