Arthur W. Templeman was born in 1878 and immigrated from Nova Scotia in 1900. He arrived in Los Gatos in 1905 and went to work as the manager of his uncle's hardware store. He purchased the hardware store in 1916 and it was then known as "Templeman's Hardware." The 1930 Federal Census shows the Templeman family living on Broadway. Arthur's wife, Laura Hardwick, immigrated from Nova Scotia in 1904. In 1930 Mima was listed as a stenographer for a men's furnishings store. TEM014Collection
