The Los Gatos Carnegie Library, located in what is now the Episcopal Church's parking lot on University Avenue, was built in 1903 and demolished in 1954. By the time it came down it was crumbling and no longer safe. Library services moved to the former American Legion War Memorial building on East Main Street, across the street from the current (2009) library.
