The old Ten Mile House is shown here in 1883, after it had been moved from the east side to the west side of Santa Cruz Avenue. By this time it was remodeled and renamed the Los Gatos Hotel. The wooden trough in front provided water for horses, and it had a faucet for human drinkers on one end. A drink of whiskey at the bar cost ten cents. HOT020Collection
