Lovers Lane, The Old FlumeEntry/Object ID
BA050Description
In 1871, the San Jose Water Company built a wooden flume along the east bank of Los Gatos Creek to bring water from Jones Dam above Alma down to Los Gatos. Reconstructed in 1880, it provided a romantic walkway for lovers, although this practice was somewhat dangerous and discouraged by Water Company officials. BA050Subject
