FB017Description
The mill ceased to be used for the manufacture of flour in 1887. It was damaged in the 1906 earthquake. In 1916 Pacific Gas and Electric tore down the three top stories, and in 1929 the remaining story was razed. All that remains is the annex, built in 1880. Over the years, the annex has been used as part of an ice-plant operation, as a PG&E substation, and in the 1940s as a youth center. The annex boasts its original stone walls and interior redwood beams. FB017Subject
