Description

James Lyndon, younger brother of John Lyndon, is shown in his office while he served as sheriff of Santa Clara County, 1894-1898. James Lyndon enlisted in the Union Army as a teenager and survived the Battle of the Wilderness, Spottsylvania, and Cold Harbor. In 1869 he came to California where he eventually set up a lumber business. James and John Lyndon died within months of each other in 1912. LAW003
