Route of S.P.C. and S.P. Railroads: A view looking south from the Alma BridgeEntry/Object ID
LEI050Description
A view looking south from the now typically submerged Alma Bridge on the Old Santa Cruz Highway and an almost empty Lexington Reservoir. The completion of the Lenihan Dam in 1952 caused the highway, which was rerouted, the Alma Bridge, the towns of Lexington and Llama and the right-of-way Southern Pacific (S.P.) railroad, formerly the South Pacific Coast (S.P.C.) to be typically submerged in Lexington Reservoir.
