Beth Rondone arrived in Los Gatos in 1929, and spent her first month here living at "The Cats" estate of C.E.S. Wood and Sara Bard Field. She was soon hired as a "girl reporter" for the Los Gatos Mail-News after Col. Wood asked that favor of publisher Hyland Baggerly. She is pictured here at the home of Sissy Seaman in Los Gatos.
