Name/Title

Novices working on the baseball field

Entry/Object ID

Description

In November 1892, soon after the Novitiate lands were expanded to include the hill back of the Novitiate, the Novices began working on a baseball field. The cart was man-powered, while the sled was horse-powered. Dress code was in force: neckware was a bandana, the long coats were called "Kyrie Eleison Coats." The name for the broad-brimmed hats is now lost. NVC026
