Iva Pennington is shown on the occasion of her graduation from Los Gatos High School in the late 1890s. She was a member of one of the first classes to complete four years of study to earn a high school diploma. The 1900 Federal Census indicates Iva was 20 years old and born in 1880. Her sister Mable was about a year younger. Both girls were living with their grandfather, Charles Milliken, born in 1820 in Illinois. PE049Collection
