Olivia de Havilland, right, is shown here with her friend Betty Jones, widow of long time Los Gatos physician Horace Jones. Olivia grew up in Saratoga and graduated from Los Gatos High School in 1934. In 1935, she went to Hollywood for an acting career. She won Oscars for best actress twice, in "To Each His Own" (1946) and "The Heiress" (1949). She was highly acclaimed for her performances in "Gone With the Wind" and "Snake Pit."
