RES134Description
This Queen Anne/Eastlake style house was possibly built as early as 1875-76, but the first tax assessment was recorded in 1891. The property is part of the 131 acre land development of Peter Johnson. William and Julia Alexander were early owners. Richard and Anna Spreckles, relatives of sugar baron Adolph Spreckels, moved to this house from their property on Cypress Way after financial reverses due to the stock market crash of 1929. Ted and Sara Anderson bought the home in 1975 and it was awarded a Bellringer designation in 1976. It was one of the homes on the Los Gatos Historic Homes Tour in 1999.
