Constructed in 1889 by Dr. James Forrest on 5 acres of land on both sides of Los Gatos Creek, just north of the newly established town of Los Gatos (1887). In 1903 the Cypress Avenue-Roberts Road bridge was constructed to connect the property with Santa Cruz Avenue. In the 1940s and 1950s F. D. and Katherine Dufour, professional artists, owned the house. In the 1970s, the Center for Human Communication occupied the property. JoAnne Denevi was an owner. Later, Dr. Richard Foulton (a dentist) and his wife bought the property and the house received a Bellringer Award in 1987. RES176Collection
