Description

Built in the 1890s, this is a "Carpenter-Gothic" style home. Early owners included a Mr. Beatty, and a Mr. Jones, a whaler from Monterey who inhabited the house from 1915-1925, and Don and Joan Glad. In 1948, Rutherford and Eunice Montgomery bought the house. Mr. Montgomery was the author of many children's books on animals and the wilderness. RES258
