Description

Built probably late 19th century since it originally shared a floor plan identical to Numbers 81, 85 and 93. Records show that Edith Batchelder lived there in 1941, Mrs. Hayloff in 1961 and Mr. and Mrs. Sal Kadre in 1963 or 1964. Mrs. Eunice L. Adams was the owner in 1986. According to Becky London Fleming, the younger daughter of novelist Jack London, while visiting Los Gatos in the summer of 1907, she (Becky London) fell off the wall in front of the home and still had the scar 81 years later. London's first wife, Bessie Maddern, lived for a while at 89 Broadway. The house received a Bellringer award in 1976. RES027
