Description

William C. Shore (1830-1905) is shown here on land which he donated to the town in 1897 for the creation of Bunker Hill Park. The park was later renamed Memorial Park, and was the site of many of the town's celebrations in the early days of its history. The park was in an idyllic location, along Los Gatos Creek, south of the Main Street Bridge. SHU006
