Hillbrook School was founded in 1935 by Mary Orem, who began her school with seven children in a little cottage in Los Gatos. Her three co-founders were Natalie Wollin, Elizabeth Glassford, and Ann Boge. The four women are shown here in uncertain order. In 1936, the school purchased the ranch of Col. James Parker - and that remains the site of Hillbrook School today. HIL019
