Fred Bergtold, left, stands near a section of the 1908 Los Gatos High School building with friends. The current high school was built in 1925. However, the 1908 structure was not demolished, but used for classrooms and industrial shops. Eventually new buildings surrounded the old, and the original stand-alone high school disappeared completely by 1955. BER195
